Slim Jim Just Set a Guinness World Record With a 429-Foot Meat Stick
After years of setting sales records, America’s best-selling meat stick, Slim Jim, has just set the ultimate record. On September 9, 2026, the brand officially secured a Guinness World Records title for the World’s Longest Meat Snack Stick.
The lengthy stick spans a jaw-dropping 429 feet and 5 inches, which is longer than a standard football field, and weighs almost 70 pounds, making it less of a snack and more of a full meal.
“The record-breaking Slim Jim is a testament to the creativity, expertise and dedication of our team,” said Jess Sweley, Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Conagra Brands. “Our people bring innovation to life every day, and we wanted to find a unique way to celebrate their passion. This record-breaking Slim Jim was a true labor of love for our group.”
A team of 11 Conagra Brands employees worked tirelessly to pull off the amazing feat, surpassing Slim Jim’s previous Guinness World Record of 314 feet, which the brand secured in 2023. In the end, the hard work paid off in more ways than one, because team members also got to “Snap into a Slim Jim” afterward.
Work on the new record-holder began in June 2025, with one of the primary goals being to make sure it still delivered the snack’s signature snap.
On the day of its reveal, the team members, dubbed the Blaze Crew, rolled out the Slim Jim firehose-style onto a long table surrounded by hundreds of Conagra employees. For Guinness World Records to recognize the attempt, the team had to make it primarily the same way as a regular-sized Slim Jim and keep the entire 429-foot, 5-inch meat stick intact as one complete unit.
