Chick-fil-A Is Finally Launching A Chicken & Waffles Sandwich Nationwide

Chick-fil-A is finally getting into the chicken and waffles game, and rather than handing you a fork and knife, the chain is making the Southern classic portable.

Starting August 24, Chick-fil-A will launch two new Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches nationwide for a limited time. One version will join the breakfast menu, while a larger version will take over during lunch and dinner.

Both sandwiches pair maple-flavored waffles with Chick-fil-A chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, honey butter spread, and a side of syrup for anyone who believes maple syrup should be applied with their heart rather than measured. You can also customize either sandwich with an original, spicy, or grilled filet.

Chick-fil-A tested the sandwiches last year and says they received an “incredible response,” which apparently gave the chain enough confidence to bring chicken and waffles to the entire country.

The Southern comfort food isn’t arriving alone, either. Chick-fil-A is leaning into campfire season with two new S’mores drinks launching the same day.

The S’mores Milkshake combines Chick-fil-A’s signature Icedream dessert with chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles, marshmallow-flavored syrup, and a marshmallow-flavored whipped topping.

For anyone who prefers their dessert with a caffeine assist, the S’mores Frosted Coffee blends custom cold-brewed coffee with marshmallow-flavored syrup and Icedream mixed with chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles.

“Both Chicken & Waffles and S’mores are much-loved classics, and we challenged ourselves to bring those flavors to our menu in a playful and unexpected way,” Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, said in a statement.

The new releases continue Chick-fil-A’s yearlong 80th anniversary celebration, which the chain has dubbed “Newstalgia.” So far, that has included new merchandise and packaging, the return of Cow Appreciation Day, and the permanent addition of Frosted Sodas and Floats.
