Taco Bell Is Going All In On Tajín With A New Nationwide Menu
There are people who like Tajín, and then there are people who keep a bottle close enough to season any unsuspecting fruit, drink, snack, or meal that crosses their path. Taco Bell is cooking for the latter.
Beginning Aug. 13, Taco Bell and Tajín are teaming up for a new nationwide menu featuring the Tajín Taco, Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze. All three bring Tajín’s familiar combination of chiles, lime, and sea salt into the Taco Bell universe for a limited time.
The Tajín Taco ($2.99) starts with a crunchy taco shell seasoned with Tajín, then fills it with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch, lettuce, shredded cheese, and mango salsa. It also comes with a packet of Tajín Clásico Seasoning in case the seasoned shell somehow isn’t Tajín enough for you.
Then there’s the Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch ($5.99), which gives one of Taco Bell’s greatest feats of fast food engineering the same treatment. A warm flatbread layered with mozzarella, pepper jack, and cheddar wraps around a Tajín-seasoned crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch, lettuce, shredded cheddar, and mango salsa. That also comes with an extra Tajín packet.
For something colder, the Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze combines tropical pineapple flavor, strawberry-flavored syrup, and Tajín for the kind of sweet, tart, chile-lime situation that makes complete sense to anyone who’s ever introduced Tajín to a cup of fruit. A 16-ounce Freeze costs $3.99, while the 20-ounce goes for $4.19.
Taco Bell actually gave fans an early look at its Tajín collaboration during Live Más LIVE in 2024 before testing the menu in select markets. Apparently, people liked what they tasted because the collab is now getting its nationwide run.
And because this whole thing needed one more extremely fitting participant, Peso Pluma is joining the campaign. The Mexican superstar and longtime Taco Bell fan got an early taste of the menu inside the chain’s Test Kitchen after appearing at Live Más LIVE earlier this year. He also happens to be a lifelong Tajín fan, making this less of a celebrity cameo and more like putting your most qualified homie on quality control.
