IKEA is adding fish balls to its Swedish restaurant menu starting April 22, just in time for Earth Day.

The new fish ball dish uses haddock and joins IKEA’s existing lineup of Swedish meatballs, offering a seafood option that leans into the brand’s ongoing sustainability efforts. IKEA sources all wild-caught fish and shrimp from fisheries certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), a standard that supports ocean health and long-term seafood supply.

Each plate comes with mashed potatoes, green peas, lemon dill sauce, lingonberry jam, and a lemon wedge—basically the full IKEA treatment. An 8-piece fish ball meal starts at $6.99.

Customers can get an early taste on April 24 and 25 at participating IKEA locations across the U.S.

This move follows the big news of when IKEA added a 20-inch hot dog to its menu in February of 2026.
