When Mountain Dew first tapped into the dirty soda wave back in September 2025, it left fans waiting on one key detail—when they’d actually be able to get their hands on it. Now, ‘Dirty Dew’ has an official release date.

Dirty Dew arrives nationwide on April 6, 2026, with both a full sugar and Zero Sugar version hitting shelves in cans and bottles. What started as a trend online now locks in as a long-term play for the brand.

At its core, Dirty Dew builds off the original Mountain Dew formula, but shifts the profile into cream soda territory. Think citrus up front, then a smoother, sweeter finish that leans into that “dirty soda” style fans have been mixing up for years.

The flavor pulls inspo from the ‘dirty soda’ trend which include custom, soda shop-style combinations that gained traction on social media, where people started adding cream, syrups, and extras into their drinks. Instead of leaving it to DIY, Mountain Dew packages that idea into a ready-to-drink version.

There’s also a noticeable tweak in how it looks. Dirty Dew uses natural coloring derived from beta carotene, giving it a lighter, lemon-chiffon tone while moving away from artificial dyes. The Zero Sugar version follows suit with sucralose as its sweetener.
