McDonald’s Releases A Pop Rocks-Inspired McFlurry

Photo: McDonald's Malaysia

McDonald’s just dropped one of its most exciting McFlurry flavors in a while. But the chain decided to make it only available in Malaysia. The Popping Candy McFlurry combines McDonald’s classic vanilla soft-serve with colorful yogurt-covered popping candy bits that crackle in your mouth as you indulge.

The limited-edition flavor was launched in late October across Malaysia, designed as a nostalgic callback for those who grew up eating Pop Rocks. During the 1990s, interactive candies like Pop Rocks were all the rage.

I’m unsure if they’re as popular among kids today, but the brand is still alive and well. In fact, since McDonald’s was stingy enough to make the Popping Candy McFlurry exclusive to Malaysia, it gives me an idea:

Anywho, the Popping Candy McFlurry is available at locations throughout Malaysia while supplies last.
