Would You Dare Try Doritos’ Black Garlic Dip? ‘Stranger Things’ Fans Are Split

The final season of Stranger Things premieres on November 26, and to celebrate its long-awaited return, there has been no shortage of fun food collaborations. From a pizza-flavored Doritos mash-up to strawberry-filled Chips Ahoy!, the promotional rollout is moving full steam ahead.

Doritos UK has now joined in on the fun with the new limited edition Black Garlic Dip. The new dip takes you into The Upside Down, where you’ll have to brave the bold, peppery kick of black garlic. Based on the look alone, it’s the perfect creamy—and spooky—dip for your Halloween party or horror flick marathon.

“The Black Garlic Dip is designed to elevate the snacking experience, perfectly pairing with our chips for memorable moments,” said Rob Pothier, marketing director at Doritos.

That is, if you can get past the look of it, which plays a big part in how appetizing something is. So far, the response has been mixed. On a Facebook post asking for everyone’s opinion, most people appear to be turned off by it. One comment expressed concern about it taking their stomach to The Upside Down: “Demogorgon dumps the next day.”

The new limited edition Doritos Black Garlic Dip is now available at U.K. retailers and online exclusively until the end of November.
