Chips Ahoy! Releases Stranger Things-Inspired Strawberry Filling Flavor

Excitement for Season 5 of Netflix’s Stranger Things is revving up ahead of its premiere on November 26, followed by parts two and three releasing on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, respectively. 

To celebrate the continued adventures of the show’s youthful, though noticeably aged, protagonists, Chips Ahoy! has announced a limited-edition flavor inspired by the Upside Down. It features a red strawberry-flavored filling stuffed with fudge chips, sandwiched between two chocolate cookies. 

Accompanying the release is an augmented-reality game that transports fans to the Upside Down. Each pack of Chips Ahoy! Upside Down features a scannable QR code. The game challenges players to find cookies throughout different levels for a chance to win exclusive merch—the top prize being an Eddie Munson-inspired guitar.
