Phoenix Suns Unveil $2 Value Menu, Claim NBA’s Most Affordable Stadium Experience

Next time you hit Phoenix, Arizona’s Footprint Center for a Suns game, you’ll be walking into “the most affordable [stadium] in the NBA.” According to a press release, The Suns have just announced a new $2 value menu that includes hot dogs, chips, popcorn, fountain drinks, and more. Menu items are up to 77% off the regular price, which is encouraging news for fans, as previously, hot dogs, water, and popcorn cost a family of four $98, says Suns owner Matt Ishbia. That same family of four will now spend just $24.

This is a smart move by Footprint Center, especially considering all the talk going around about NBA games being too expensive, fans being priced out, and viewership declining. According to The Street, bookies estimate it costs an average of $320 for a family of four to attend an NBA game, including concessions—soaring to $728 for a Los Angeles Lakers game. For example, a hot dog costs $12 at a San Antonio Spurs game and TD Garden, home of the Boston Celtics, charges $20.32 for a 16-oz beer. Clearly ridiculous prices. Time will tell whether other teams follow in the Footprint Center’s footsteps.
