Behind every home run at Dodger Stadium, there’s more than just a killer lineup—there’s a team of chefs ensuring fans stay fueled for all the action. I had the chance to sit down with the Dodgers’ Executive Chef, Christine Gerriets, to discuss how she and her team blend LA’s vibrant food scene with a little home-team magic, keeping the menu fresh, fun, and unmistakably Dodger-blue.

“We take a lot of inspiration from the city,” Gerriets says. “LA is such a melting pot, so we bring in flavors from all over and give them a ‘Dodgers spin’. Whether it’s a local favorite or something inspired by the players, we make sure there’s something for everyone.”

Heritage Nights, in particular, give Chef Gerriets and her team the perfect opportunity to play with player favorites, incorporating the hometown flavors and cultures of the roster. It’s a way to honor the players while keeping things interesting for fans who return season after season.

And when it comes to crowd-pleasers, Gerriets knows the key to success: “The Chef Merito Nacho Helmet is our top-seller after the Dodger Dog,” she shares. The helmet, brimming with perfectly seasoned carne asada, is a game-day favorite—and during the postseason, fans couldn’t get enough, with more than 12,000 helmets sold at home games alone.

Gerriets and her team know that serving up local flavors and fan favorites is just as essential as any play on the field. After all, you can’t win a World Series without keeping the crowd fueled and happy.
