Is Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap Supreme Getting a Bold Thai Makeover?

Taco Bell’s iconic Crunchwrap Supreme just got a whole new look, and we’ve got Chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin to thank for that. Part of Taco Bell’s new TBX program, which opened the Test Kitchen doors to three creative chefs, Dobbertin took on the challenge of remixing the classic Crunchwrap with some bold Thai-inspired flavors. While this Crunchwrap is not available in-restaurant since it’s still in the testing and development phase, we got to try the current iteration at Taco Bell’s Test Kitchen.

Introducing Chef Jenn’s Crispy Thai Noodle Crunchwrap—a crunchy, spicy, and craveable take that brings together a khao soi aioli with slow-roasted chicken, crispy noodle nests, and fresh bursts of cilantro and onion plus an avocado basil ranch. Wrapped up in a warm tortilla, this remix isn’t just a nod to Taco Bell’s Mexican roots; it’s a delicious culinary journey that combines Thai flavors with that late-night American comfort food vibe we all crave.

Dobbertin, the culinary heart behind San Antonio’s Best Quality Daughter, is known for her inventive Asian-American flavors mixed with a dash of South Texas soul. So, when Taco Bell asked her to play with their Crunchwrap in the TBX lab, you just knew something special was cooking.

For more on how she’s putting a new spin on Taco Bell’s menu and why she’s making us yearn for a Thai Noodle Crunchwrap for dinner, check out the TBX series on their YouTube channel Because when the Taco Bell Test Kitchen opens its doors, you never know just how far a Crunchwrap can go!
