This Stanley Tumbler Optical Illusion Is Surreal

Raise your hand if you remember those optical illusion puzzles from elementary school. From the classic ‘choker on the wife’ to the ‘duck-rabbit hybrid,’ often times this determined your age, creativity, personality, and more.

There is a new artist out there going by the name “The Chalking Dad,” who recently shared a life-sized chalk drawing of the infamous Stanley cup, dubbing the creation, “Stanley Tumbler Obsession.” Erik Greenawalt is the artist behind the “4,000-ounce” Stanley creation, whose drawing convinced us that his wife Julie was sitting on top of the tumbler.

Instagram users were extremely impressed with the art noting, “My brain can’t process the 3D art. Like how do you look like you’re so close up and the cup extends so far away.” Another user said, “I thought this was a real cup sitting on your driveway at first.”

Greenawalt drew the chalk image in his driveway of his suburban home, measuring eight feet by 20 feet. That’s basically worth up to 100 Stanley 40 oz tumblers, but of course, safer for the environment as its just a drawing.

The artistic dad also has detailed drawings including the iconic Bluey, Monica from ‘Friends’, Ted Lasso, and even today’s hottest couple, TNT.
