Chipotle To Give Diners Bigger Portions Thanks To Social Media Outcry

How many times have we seen the power of people through social media? It can take down an airline, boycott stores, cancel a celebrity, call out a ‘Karen’, and now, it’s getting us the bigger portions at Chipotle that we’ve been paying for all along!

Get ready to loosen your belts because Chipotle’s CEO, Brian Niccol, just dropped some epic news during an earnings call to investors: all 3,500 U.S. locations will be serving up heftier portions of your favorite burrito bowl fixings. If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest Chipotle saga, let me fill you in.

Back in May, TikTok exploded with videos of Chipotle fans ordering in person, only to discover their bowls and burritos were looking pretty skimpy on the protein. Many customers noticed they weren’t getting as much chicken, steak, or veggies as they used to. Trust me, I remember those days of forking out $14 for a bowl with barely enough ingredients to satisfy my hunger.

Well, Chipotle heard the chatter for more carnitas and is ready to make things right. In response to the viral outcry, the burrito giant is rolling out bigger portions to correct those scant serving sizes. The question is, will this generous move be enough to win back the hearts (and appetites) of their loyal fans? Only time, and a few extra scoops of guac (that we know is extraaaa), will tell!
