The social media maven gained widespread attention when he shared his exasperating dining encounters in Atlanta, causing a stir and receiving both praise and criticism on various social media platforms.

Lee documented his attempts to dine at Old Lady Gang and The Real Milk and Honey, with both establishments exhibiting a lack of accommodation. Weekend takeout and DoorDash services were said to be not accessible. Additionally, Lee’s efforts to place an order via phone were disregarded.

Lee first sent his family in to secure a table, who were initially informed of a one-hour wait to dine at Old Lady Gang. However, upon recognition of his identity, a table was promptly offered to him. Lee politely declined the immediate service, refusing to be served ahead of other hungry customers, emphasizing his desire for the same service experience as everyone else.

So, what’s so wrong with the Atlanta dining experience?

In short, a lot of trendy and hip restaurants have been criticized for their seemingly absurd rules.

You could barely order in Atlanta restaurants. They don’t do no pickup orders, they don’t do deliveries.”

• No reservations. Should you just dine alone then? This means getting ready to wait more than 90 minutes for a meal.
• No call-in orders. So how exactly did they make money during the pandemic?
• No large parties. More than 4 is unacceptable, which would not work for any family that has more than 2 kids.
• No modification to orders over $75. Basically no dressing on the side allowed.
• No splitting checks. Guess you better show up with your credit card with no balance. This would 100% be a problem in NY.
• No waiting inside for to-go orders. If you have toddlers, guess you have to leave them at home then too.
• 18% gratuity automatically added to everything. Not sure why they need a tip with all these rules?
