Few toys are as iconic as Lego. Since 1932, Lego has been a creative outlet for kids and adults alike. It’s clear to see why, too. There is no learning curve, they can be used to create simple or elaborate designs, and are super affordable — that is, unless you get one of those special sets. From toys and TV shows to movies and fan clubs, Lego is everywhere you can imagine. 

Fun fact: Legos actually originate from Denmark, and there, at a Lego-inspired restaurant, not only do you get to build things, but you’re sure to build an appetite as well. Located near Legoland Denmark, Lego House is a fully immersive Lego-themed location with interactive activities and a restaurant named MINI CHEF where customers build their own food out of legos. 

Before you flip a table at the thought of eating Legos, MINI CHEF does actually serve food, it just does it in a fun way. Rather than using a traditional menu, customers are given a bag of Legos containing bricks of various colors. Depending on its color, shape, and size, each brick represents a different menu item. The options are viewable via a menu card from the Lego House website. Customers can enjoy a wide range of tasty treats like oven-baked salmon, caprese salad, sweet potato falafel, and a 3-in-1 mushroom medley, just to name a few.

Instead of placing an order with your waiter, you build the order using the blocks provided, and add them to an insertable Lego computer drive. You then insert the drive into a table-side computer, which scans and submits it to a “robot chef.” Once the order is ready, you can retrieve it from two robot servers named Robert and Roberta. TikTok user bricklover18 shared a video which highlights the ordering process and trust us, the 18-second clip is all the convincing you’ll need to add the MINI CHEF restaurant to your bucket list.
