‘The Agave Library’ Should Be On Every Tequila-Lover’s Hit List

For the savvy spirit connoisseur, the delineation between top-tier and forgettable lies at the point of consumption — and excellence lies in a sip.

At The Agave Library, a new specialty room within Sendero, the dining quadrant at The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, guests are offered a tasting experience that centers on premium agave-based spirits. Simply put, this is for sippers only, where savoring a very rare tequila or mezcal is one of the many highlights of dinner here.

On Saturdays, Chef Kevin Luzande presents a well-curated tasting menu that’s paired with rare and premium tequila, mezcal, and other agave-based spirits. To kick things off, the summer season tasting menu is amplified by pairings from world-renowned, Guadalajara-based luxury tequila brand Clase Azul.

The experience itself immerses diners in an intimate setting, as they share a communal table with 12 seats. What unravels throughout the five-course, five-spirit menu is a highlight of the cuisine of Jalisco, Mexico, where a lesson on premium pairings is as much an eye-opener as the intense flaming sugar skull dessert at the end.

If high-end, rare tequila or mezcal paired with thoughtful, delicious food is your thing, then check out how to snag a reservation at The Agave Library here.
