Hardware Company Installs ‘Doom’ Video Game Into Milky Way Bar

In celebration of trick-or-treat season, Adafruit Industries, a hardware company that specializes in fun and unique electronics, has combined the classic 1993 first-person shooter Doom with a Milky Way candy bar.

According to 80LV, the crazy chocolate and caramel covered creation was inspired by a popular meme that’s been going viral amongst computer gamers called “Can it run Doom?” Made by id Software, Doom is a seminal first-person shooter that helped popularize the gaming genre.

In a short demo released by Adafruit Industries, a microcomputer installed directly into the bar is shown running the game on a tiny monitor. They preface the revealing with a reminder for parents to carefully check their kid’s candy.

It’s perhaps simultaneously one of the nerdiest and coolest things ever.
