Wingstop Debuts Chicken Sandwich Nationwide

A few months ago, in May 2022, Wingstop tested a chicken sandwich in select cities. The news set off a wave of excitement and speculation on whether the new item would debut nationwide. But I knew in my heart of hearts that such an epic offering would soon enjoy wider availability.

Wingstop would have dropped the ball if they didn’t make it a national release, because the prospect of launching a whole lineup of chicken sandwiches in the brand’s beloved sauces and rubs right in the middle of the ongoing Chicken Sandwich Wars would surely give them the upper hand.

Thank goodness they did the right thing. Debuting today on a national scale are Wingstop’s new chicken sandwiches, which come in whichever iconic flavor fans choose: Lemon Pepper, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Mild, Louisiana Rub, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, Spicy Korean Q, Original Hot, Cajun, Mango Habanero, Atomic and Plain. Each sandwich is served with a buttery, toasted bun and crunchy pickles.

The sandwich itself will cost $5.49, while the combo will be priced at $7.99. Fans can enjoy free delivery when they order at wingstop.com from August 30 to September 5.

What’s more, Wingstop has 100,000 free chicken sandwiches to give away. All fans have to do to win one free chicken sandwich is to write a break up letter to their former favorite chicken sandwich and post it on chickensandwichsplit.com.
