McDonald’s Manager Leads Anti-Coning Movement [VIDEO]

Coning was one of the hottest internet trends of the 2011 summer season. Even Justin Bieber tried his luck at grabbing a soft-serve cone by the residue instead of the handle, catapulting the trend into genuine mainstream success. While the credibility of this video is suspect, it’s definitely a possible indicator that McDonald’s management might be wary to your reverse cone-grabbing techniques.

In the video below, we get a look at a New Jersey McDonald’s drive-thru refusing to give a young woman her soft-serve cone when the manager realizes she’s beginning to grab it by the wrong end. The best part of the video is when the drive-thru guy states “But I could actually mush this in your face.” Do it then, tough shot.

What do y’all think of this turn of events? The customer, albeit not-too-funny and ultimately behind-the-times did indeed pay for her cone, and if she wants to grab it by the cream and subsequently not eat it, should be able to. Right? You be the judge:
