Root Farm

The appeal of an ant farm, for most, lies in the ability to observe an underground ant community that often goes overlooks when we’re walking above ground. The same sort of gaze has been attributed to this Root Farm, a product that allows us to observe a self-watering grow unit through a special viewing window. Over time, we’ll get to observe a carrot, radish and onion seeds grow upwards while their roots grow downward.

The unit is made of a durable styrofoam, with an acrylyc viewing window, built-in water basin, drainage reservoir, eight super-expanding grow mix wafers and three packets of seeds for carrots, radishes and onions. ($32.99 @ ThinkGeek)
