How To Give Your Wings A Fiery Red Color Without Hot Sauce

The color on these wings are almost cartoony, and look like some kind of fowl, evolved form of the bbq pork you find at a lot of Chinese food joints.

Our buddy Kyle Marcoux, AKA, the Vulgar Chef got drunk again and started experimenting with wings, eventually soaking them with Mountain Dew Code Red and giving them that crazy red tint.

Marcoux said that the wings didn’t actually have much of a Code Red flavor, which is kind of a bummer, but if you want to make your hot wings look like they came straight from the depths of hell, this would be a good starting point.

Try this Code Red marinade for yourself and let us know if you come up with anything magical.
