A Look Inside the Burger Cake

For the past year, we’ve been covering the wonderful burger art of Char.L.Ton. A year ago, he undertook a fabulous year-long project that allowed us to watch him interpret “burgers” in a different way, every day.

Over the course of the year, we’ve seen some amazing things from his laboratory. Just a few highlights: Burger Origami, Lisa Simpson Veggie Burger, Conan O’Brien Burger, Stewie Griffin Burger and the Donut Burger. Today, we see his last creation in said project, The Burger Cake.

The cake’s individual sweet layers reflect the pieces of a traditional burger, bun, lettuce, tomatoes and meat patty. The best part about the entire construction? The actual burger meat topping on top. MmmM. Count me in for a slice!

 

The Burger365 project is complete! Let’s celebrate with a special “Burger Cake”, complete with actual hamburger topping. Of food items, the cake is probably the most popular item to be decorated like a hamburger, and we have seen many around the web. I definitely had to give it a shot, and thought it was a fitting way to celebrate the end. Hopefully this one “takes the cake” (*groan*). Now, who want’s a slice?
