Everyone takes breakups a little differently. Some eat tubs of ice cream and get familiar with the “Emotional Independent Dramas for Hopeless Romantics” category on Netflix. Others might spend their time at a bar getting hammered and singing an endless number of Journey songs during karaoke night. This woman decided to make herself at home at a KFC for a whole week.

Apparently KFCs in China are open 24 hours a day, because Tan Shen, 26, went in for some chicken wings and set up shop for a while.

According to Metro UK, she needed time to think about her recent breakup and didn’t want to go back to her apartment to deal with the talking walls, screaming endless memories at her.

Three days in, workers finally noticed that Shen had been there for a very, very long time. They wanted to know what was up, but she just ordered more wings, kept doing her thing and took her time thinking about the love that was.

Once reporters started coming in, it was time for her to go.

Food might not make the pain go away, but it sure helps.
