Mapleception: French Toast with a Pancake Cooked Inside

The age old question that’s plagued so many of those without waffle irons: Do I want to make french toast or pancakes? While both have their fine qualities, it seems the choice is always difficult to make around breakfast time.

Luckily, Nick from Dude Foods found a recipe that combines the best of both worlds. Literally. You just take a stack of bread and cut the middle out using a wine glass. Then dip the bread pieces into a french toast mixture and set aside. Next, you throw your french toast slices on the skillet for about 30 seconds before pouring the pancake mix in the holes. Don’t add too much though, as the pancakes should expand. Afterwards, wait until the pancake batter begins to bubble to flip your french-pancake toast.

Butter. Syrup. Breakfast. Mapleception.
