Cookies and Cream Mochi Will Blow Your Taste Buds Off, Probably

That’s it. I’m moving to Japan.  I’m ready for delicious sweets, grilled meat on sticks, sushi, and all the mochi I can eat. Especially now that Lotte, a leading mochi manufacturer, is incorporating cookies and cream ice cream into these bite-sized nuggets of deliciousness.

For those of you who are unaware of mochi, they are a Japanese staple, and perhaps one of the most tasty summer treats you can find.  Ice cream is wrapped with a sticky, gooey rice paper that’s slightly savory to contrast with the sweet ice cream inside.

Mochi already blends multiple flavors, but once you introduce cookies and cream into the mix, it’s a textural explosion. Creamy, chewy, crunchy, gooey in a bite-sized package? I’d like a carton (hell, even a barrel), please!
