Target Thinks You’re Stupid, Charges More for Holiday Popcorn Deal

target-popcorn-and-drink

If Black Friday and Cyber Monday have taught us anything, it’s that people love a cheap deal. Hell, people at grocery stores stand around the clearance rack, waiting to snag the almost-expired, marginally price-reduced goodies.

Well, Target loves dishing out sales of its own, but this one’s a little suspect.

Consumerist got hold of this picture, showing Target’s new “Holiday Special” where you can buy popcorn and a soda for the crazy low price of $2.29. However, pictured right next to this special, is the regularly priced combo for the same items at 30 cents cheaper ($1.99).

For 30 cents extra, you can now get exactly the same deal that you used to be able to get!

We’d like to think that maybe the Holiday Special is a larger size, but that’s usually advertised and made clear.

Regardless, we’ll have to categorize this as a FAIL and hope that people are asking for the regular deal instead of this not-so-special special.
