The Cheez-It Gas Station That Even Has Gas Pumps Full Of The Crackers

Along the dusty highway in Joshua Tree, California, road trippers and locals alike might spot something a little different in town: an old gas station has been completely transformed into Cheez-It Stop, the world’s first and only Cheez-It gas station complete with a gas pump that literally fills your car full of Cheez-It crackers. After spending the day there, I can confidently say that this is an experience you w0n’t want to miss.

Just me, @dylpavlik , living his cheesiest life.

Located about an hour outside of Palm Springs, the Cheez-It Stop can be seen from miles away — I think any building with a giant Cheez-It cracker sticking out of the roof would be pretty noticeable. As soon as you pull-up, you are greeted by the Cheez-It Pit Crew adorned in red Cheez-It jumpsuits that I personally would like to own as well.

We immediately ran to the biggest attraction of them all: the Cheez-It gas pump which dispenses out individual bags of Cheez-It crackers right into your hands! Or, in my case, my giant cooler.

“We know Cheez-It fans love to travel,” said the brand’s senior director Erin Storm, “and they never hit the road without their beloved Cheez-It. We created this brand-first desert outpost to capture the excitement of summer road trips and encourage fans to fuel up throughout their adventure.” And fuel up we did.

Once you’re done taking your hundreds of photo ops at every turn and angle — trust me, this place is an influencer’s dream spot for content creation — you can head inside the gas station and take your pick of Cheez-It flavors as well as merch galore. Want a Cheez-It button-up? Check. Cheez-It wolf shirt? Yep. How about Cheez-It slides? Absolutely.

The details and nuances around the Stop were insane (can you say Cheez-It cracker flowers on every cactus?) and we couldn’t stop finding new and exciting Easter eggs at every turn. Even the bird baths had birds eating Cheez-It crackers. My personal favorite was the bathroom “graffiti” that you should see for yourself. Another great addition was a repurposed VW bus that has been converted into a photo booth.

Starting today, the Cheez-It Stop will be open through Sunday, June 11th, from 10am – 6pm located at 61943 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree, California. Do what I did: Grab your best friend and take this incredible drive out to the desert to experience Cheez-It crackers in an entirely new way.
