Taco Bell Stifled With Food Shortages

Whether it be a considerable deficit in chicken wings or boba, food shortages have stifled the restaurant industry this year. It’s a tough beat to catch for an industry already ravaged by the pandemic, with ripple effects affecting all facets of businesses.

Taco Bell has particularly suffered from shortages lately, with their beef, chicken, tortilla, and hot sauce supply being affected most. The chain was forced to address the issue with a message posted to their site apologizing to fans, “Sorry if we can’t feed your current crave. Due to national ingredient shortages and delivery days, we may be out of some items.”

The shortage of hot sauce has been the most worrisome to customers, with many upset about its scarcity.

It’s a rough time for those trying to Live Más, but another statement released by Taco Bell to CBS News offered more details on the situation: “Due to national transportation delays happening throughout most of the industry, we may temporarily be out of some items. Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope to feed fans’ current Taco Bell cravings again soon.”
