Natty Light Upcycles Boat Shoes To Beer-Holding ‘Brewzies’

As a lover of boat shoes and crushable beers, this collab speaks to me. Natural Light and Sperry have teamed up to reimagine boat shoes into a Brewzie that will keep your beer cold — and stable.

The Brewzie, featuring Sperry’s renowned razor-cut Wave-Siping technology, is a unique and streamlined beer-holder that will give the shoe brand’s Top-Siders a new lease on life and keep your beer secure on deck.

Sperry and Nattys’ Brewzie is specifically designed for maximum stability by the water. Unlike a typical neoprene beer-holder (read; koozie) that offers no balance, the Brewzie provides Sperry’s signature traction tech. This summer, for 165 fans, Natty and Sperry will be upcycling their boat shoes into Brewzies, which will sail right back to them along with a 30% discount on a new pair of Sperrys.

“Natural Light is a beer best sipped ice cold on the shoreline of your choice, which means our cans tend to get wet,” said Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing, Natural Family. “Now, beer spills on the boat, at the beach, or pool-side at the BBQ will be a thing of the past, thanks to the Brewzie and Sperry’s original and iconic traction technology.”

To give your Sperrys a second life, go to the Natural Light Instagram page. Simply comment #NattyBrewzie and #Sweepstakes on the Natty–Sperry Instagram collab post to enter to win from now until August 7. Winners will receive a DM with a shipping label which will embark their Sperrys on a voyage to become a Brewzie. While awaiting its arrival, they can cop a fresh pair of Sperrys at a 30% discount.

This first-ever collaboration with Sperry marks the latest program from Natural Light, following its brand refresh earlier this year that reintroduced the classic tagline “Act Natural” alongside an introduction of a vintage-inspired can design.
