KFC Is Teaming Up With Supergirl For The Ultimate Meal

The hierarchy of power in the fried chicken universe is about to change. KFC is launching a new “Ultimate Meal” in collaboration with the upcoming DC Studios film Supergirl.

This isn’t KFC’s first foray into the world of branded collaborations, but it might be the most expansive—fitting for the galaxy-spanning adventure that inspired it. KFC’s Supergirl Ultimate Meal comes with multiple menu-first items: three new dipping sauces inspired by characters from the film, plus an out-of-this-world drink made with Starry.

Sauces are the easiest way to zhuzh up a familiar menu, and KFC is going all out with three new limited-time additions to an already-expansive lineup.

Supergirl’s Solar Honey Mustard: This is a golden mustard with a sweet-heat finish described as equal parts bold and bright, just like the heroine herself.

Ruthye’s Sweet Chili Revenge: A sticky, swicy sauce that starts gentle and escalates over time thanks to the tag-team pairing of chili and garlic. Fitting for a character who kicks off the film’s entire plot by enlisting Kara Zor-El into her two-woman interplanetary quest for revenge.

Lobo’s Wild Ranch: It’s the smorgasbord of dipping sauces: ranch packed with garlic, onion, herbs, sesame, and even a little poppy seed. Jason Momoa’s Lobo is an unpredictable anti-hero, and his namesake sauce looks to deliver that same energy.

Kryptonian Kooler: This specialty drink combines Starry’s lemon-lime flavors with blue raspberry syrup and strawberry boba. I believe this is the chain’s first widespread domestic foray into the boba space, following the launch of their “Kwench” beverage line in the UK and a few innovations at their stateside spinoff chain Saucy.

This meal isn’t just sauces and sips, though; you also get a good spread of KFC’s chewable offerings. The Supergirl Ultimate Meal is pretty customizable, since the Colonel knows everyone’s KFC order looks a little different. You’ll get your choice of three chicken tenders or eight chicken nuggets, all three of those new sauces, a 21oz. Kryptonian Kooler, a biscuit, your choice of side, and one of five collectible character keychains.

Collectors beware: KFC’s Supergirl keychains are blind-bagged, so you may need to circle the drive-thru a few times to complete the set.

While Supergirl hits theaters on June 26th, you’ll be able to get your hands on this themed menu a little earlier. Participating KFC locations nationwide will offer the Supergirl Ultimate Meal starting June 6th.
