We're taking sweet and salty to the next level with Turtle Chex Mix Marshmallow Treats. Chex already did half the work for me, adding that sugary, chocolaty goodness to salty Chex and pretzels. But the addition of butter and marshmallows, is an extra but necessary bit of sweet to bring it all together.
You know you want to sink your teeth into this tower of sweet, salty... and sweet, gooey, crunchy awesomeness.
Turtle Chex Mix Marshmallow Treats
Ingredients
- 2 bags (8oz each) Turtle* Chex Mix (Yes, you do need to use it all, so if you plan on doing some pre-snacking, buy an extra bag for yourself)
- 4c mini marshmallows
- 3T butter
Directions
- Grease 9x13 pan with shortening.
- Melt butter and mallows in large pot over medium heat on stove top.
- Mix in Turtle Chex Mix.
- Spread Chex/mallow mix in pan and cool to room temp.
- Slice and consume.
As if it weren't already super easy to wreck a bag of Turtle Chex Mix by itself, now I've gone and made shoveling them into your face more efficient. I don't know whether I should apologize or accept gifts; I'll leave that for you to decide.
*No turtles were harmed in the making of these treats, but your waistline might be.
