El Pollo Loco is putting its spin on chicken tenders with the launch of Loco Tenders, hitting menus nationwide April 23.
The brand previewed the new tenders at Revolve Festival during Coachella weekend, but the real play sits in the box. Each order comes in classic or spicy, built on a Mexican-seasoned profile that leans into citrus, garlic, and heat instead of the usual fast food approach.
El Pollo Loco designed these tenders for dipping and built the sauces to match. The lineup includes new Pollo Loco Sauce and Baja Lime, both meant to complement the seasoning rather than sit on the side.
The tenders land somewhere between crispy and grilled-adjacent in flavor, carrying more seasoning upfront than most options out right now. The format stays familiar, but the flavor pushes closer to what El Pollo Loco already does well.
