Dole Whip Is Bringing Some Serious Flavor To Costco This Summer
Costco freezer runs are about to get a little more strategic.
Dole is bringing Dole Whip back to Costco for the summer, and this year it’s introducing a new Tropical Guava Passion flavor in an exclusive 3.6-ounce cup format available only at the warehouse retailer through the end of the season.
The thing that keeps Dole Whip in rotation is the texture. Smooth, creamy, fruit-forward, and somehow lighter on its feet than most freezer aisle desserts. It doesn’t really move like ice cream or sorbet, sitting comfortably in its own lane.
Its new Tropical Guava Passion flavor also fits squarely into Dole Whip’s “Anything But Vanilla” mindset. Instead of counting on safe, familiar flavors, it combines sweet guava with bright passion fruit for something a little more vibrant and tropical. Pineapple and Mango are also returning, but Guava Passion feels poised to be the flavor that sends people on missions through freezer aisles this summer.
And unlike a lot of seasonal frozen drops, Dole Whip keeps the ingredient story relatively clean with real fruit, no dairy, and no high fructose corn syrup.
If Dole Whip was looking for a flavor that embodies its “Anything But Vanilla” campaign, Guava Passion feels like a pretty convincing candidate.
