Deep Fried Lasagna, Because This is Americaitaly

It has become almost weekly routine that I check up with my food blogging friend Nick to see what ridiculous thing he’s putting into his deep fryer. In fact, he’s currently on a “quest to deep fry every single food [he] can possibly think of” and this week, he’s thinking Deep Fried Lasagna.

Utilizing a 50/50 mix of seasoned ground beef, ground Italian sausage, and pasta sauce inside a fold of noodles and ricotta cheese, Nick stuck them in the freezer for 30 minutes to give them some durability during the looming deep fry process, took them out, dusted them with flour, dipped them in an egg wash and coated each one heavily with some Progresso “Italian Style” bread crumbs.
