Crazy Fire Reported At The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas’ Rooftop Pool

Bamboo Pool, a pool and cabana experience on the roof 0f The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas broke out in flames on Saturday around 12:15 pm. Although initial social media cited Marquee as the location, it was later reported to be the Bamboo Pool at the West End tower.

The Cosmopolitan put out a statement citing no serious injuries, and that the cause is still under investigation.

[UPDATE] 12:16pm Local firefighters on site at the Las Vegas Strip, no comment just yet.

[UPDATE] 1:44pm Clark County Fire Department reports that one person was injured.

[UPDATE] 1:48pm For clarification, it looks like the pool on fire was not at the Marquee Night Club as originally reported, but instead the Bamboo Pool.

[UPDATE] 1:50pm From Clark County Fire spokeswoman Sandra Bake: “Fire crews are currently on scene of a fire on the outside pool area where trees and pool cabanas were on fire. There is a report that the fire has been put out and crews are handling smoke evacuation and checking for any extension to building.” 

[UPDATE] 2:10pm Traffic on the Las Vegas Strip has been reopened and the fire has been put out.
