Cava Announces Its First-Ever Seafood Option
After reintroducing white sweet potatoes, Cava is giving customers the brand’s first-ever seafood option, Glazed Salmon. The protein-packed pick represents a natural evolution for the Mediterranean chain, and contains omega-3s and essential vitamins like B12 and D.
Cava marinates the glazed salmon in house-made pomegranate glaze and roasts it until caramelized. The glaze is made from tangy-sweet pomegranate molasses, which is supplied by Just Date, and is a blend of organic pomegranate juice and organic dates.
Add it to any build-your-own bowls or as part of two new seasonal Chef Curations:
- Salmon + Strawberry Sesame Bowl – A classic pairing of salmon + tzatziki—served over brown rice and spinach—amped up with new tart strawberry sesame dressing. Also featuring: roasted red pepper hummus, Persian cucumbers, feta, tomato + onion, and sumac slaw.
- Salmon + Yogurt Dill Bowl – Glazed salmon served over arugula and saffron basmati rice, with a dream team of accompaniments: traditional hummus and Crazy Feta for bold flavor; fire-roasted corn, tomato + onion, and Persian cucumber for vibrancy; and yogurt dill dressing to bring it all together.
Glazed salmon will be available starting April 20 at CAVA locations nationwide, online, or via the app. Between May 4 to 11, customers can enjoy a salmon-themed in-app experience for a chance to win exclusive rewards.
