Burger King Debuts A SpongeBob Menu And The Krabby Whopper Is Actually Square

Burger King is diving headfirst into Bikini Bottom and honestly? It’s kind of hilarious how hard they committed. The chain just dropped a full SpongeBob menu tied to the upcoming SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, and it reads like someone dared BK to make kid-brain fever dreams edible.

Front and center is SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper: a quarter-pound Whopper on a square yellow bun. Not a gimmick-colored brioche, it’s a bun that looks like SpongeBob clocked in for grill duty himself. Same toppings, same mess, just… squared up.

Mr. Krabs gets Cheesy Bacon Tots served in a tiny treasure chest, which is 100% something a kid will refuse to throw away for the next six months. Patrick’s dessert entry is the Star-berry Shortcake Pie. Picture layers of strawberry and vanilla cream with shortcake crumbs and pink star sprinkles, because subtlety is dead. And the Pirate’s Frozen Pineapple Float is basically the taste of a theme park in your hand.

If choosing is too much emotional labor, BK made the Bikini Bottom Bundle, stuffed inside a pineapple-shaped box like a fast-food Matryoshka doll. Even the King Jr. Meals get special-edition toys and a SpongeBob crown.

Royal Perks members can even “order with SpongeBob” through the app. Miami fans get a full BK x SpongeBob pop-up Dec. 6–7, pineapple energy included.

The SpongeBob menu is here for a limited time. Whether it’s nostalgia bait or legitimate fun, one thing’s clear: Burger King is fully leaning into the bit.
