Tastykake Sliders

Finally, the story of something absurdly delicious dish that was made with good intentions beyond just satisfying the eyes and stomach. This story finds its way to Philadelphia restaurateur and chef Matt Levin of the Adsum restaurant.

When he heard that a local sweet manufacturer by the name of Tastykake was facing some financial troubles, he decided to step in and try his luck saving the day. With the help of the viral web and food bloggers everywhere, Chef Levin’s Tastykake Sliders will undoubtedly find their way across social bookmarking sites for weeks to come.

How could it not? We’re looking at two house-ground brisket patties supporting slices of American cheese, sour cherry-sriracha jam and of course, Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes as the buns. Not only is the chef attempting to revitalize the Tastykake name with this dish, Levin is also setting aside a portion of the $11 price of the dish in a “Tasty fund,” according to SlashFood. With all this in mind, go ahead, spread the word. You know you want to.
