The Viral Watermelon Popsicle Gets A Sour Candy Twist

As the “summer of sour” continues, GoodPop and SmartSweets are offering a “cool” take with their Sourmelon Pop Bites, a frozen twist on the latter’s Sourmelon Bites candy. 

Shaped like mini watermelon wedges (5 pink, 5 green), they are low-sugar, sour-coated, and made without anything artificial. Every bag also includes a watermelon-inspired sticker sheet.

According to reports, the sour candy market is growing faster than chocolate. Additionally, sour candy challenge videos are up 81% year-over-year, and some experts recommend sour treats to help quell anxiety. It doesn’t hurt that GoodPop’s watermelon popsicles went viral on TikTok.
