When Pickleball and Beer Pong Collide, Pickle Pong Happens

What did we get when we combined 12 Home Depot buckets, beer, and the world’s fastest growing sport? No, we didn’t invent a cheaper way to bobsled — WE CREATED PICKLE PONG! It’s a fun twist on the drinking game we all played at college, junior college or just in our mom’s basements.

We essentially took the basic rules of beer pong and combined them with the intricate skill and immense fun required to play Pickleball. If y’all are trying to play this, it’s easy. The buckets, which I assume you can also get at Lowes, replace the classic red Solo cups. You’ll need pickleball gear like paddles and balls. Finally you’ll need to hold down a pickleball court, which means being extra nice to Gertrude. So maybe show up the next time she invites you to church.

Once you start playing, the vibe is the same as beer pong: fun and social at first, but then it immediately becomes ultra competitive and somewhat toxic as the buckets start getting pulled. Knowing that you’ll not only drink for every bucket, but also that at the end of the game the losers have to disgracefully drink a full jar of pickle juice, really makes you fight for your life.

If this sounds fun and you want to try it with your friends, check out our latest Youtube video above to see this game in action and get a full tutorial on the rules.
