Taco Bell Finally Brings Back Double Decker Taco

Taco Bell has once again answered the pleas from its fans and is officially bringing back a beloved fan favorite for a limited time. Returning to the menu nearly one year later is the Double Decker Taco — just in time for the holiday season!

When the Double Decker Taco left the menu in 2019, fans had an opportunity to bring it back in 2022, when it went up against the Enchirito through an in-app voting experience. While the Enchirito made a limited time return, Double Decker Taco fans had a bit of a wait to taste this again (just like Mexican Pizza fans).

In case you aren’t familiar with the Double Decker Taco, it’s definitely a double decker. For just $2.99, the hybrid taco is made up of a soft flour tortilla layered with beans, then wrapped around a traditional crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, crispy lettuce and cheddar cheese.

“The Double Decker Taco holds a deep space in the hearts of our Taco Bell Fans. The insane amount of love for this product from fans across our social platforms was impossible to ignore,” said Taylor Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer.

To celebrate the return, Taco Bell is also dishing out a few quick deals to ensure you get your Double Decker Taco fix before its gone:

  • Uber One members can take advantage of a Double Decker Taco BOGO (buy one, get one free) through the Uber Eats app now through Sunday, Dec. 10.
  • DoorDash customers can apply a $5 discount on orders $25 or more, running now through Tuesday, Dec. 12, while DashPass members can get $8 off.

We don’t know when the Double Decker Taco is leaving the menu again so be sure to stock up before they’re yanked from the menu once more.
