McDonald’s Israel “Big America” Retails For $9.25

McDonald’s Israel has introduced two “Big America” burgers which feature a half-pound-plus steak burger which will set you back $9.25. Afraid of still being hungry? The burger comes as part of a meal with fries and a drink for $14.66.  Not exactly a bargain for fast food, in any country.

Reports from Ynet and BurgerBusiness reveal that McDonald’s is utilizing a .55 lb patty with prime rib and entrecôte (rib steak) that is 90% lean. The creation of these burgers required installation of new cooking equipment, along with an overall retrofit investment totalling $2 million. The Big New York burger is 639 calories and is topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion and Royal Sauce. The Big Texas burger is complete with barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and fried onions.
