Artist Covers Her Entire Kitchen In Millions of Glass Beads [ART]

We’re always impressed when people steer away from the norm and create awesome food-related art like those cute marshmallow cats or one dad’s award-worthy lunch bag art. Now, there’s “Kitchen and Backyard” constructed by artist Liza Lou made entirely of multicolored glass beads.

Even more impressive is that Lou placed every single bead — millions of them — with a pair of tweezers to create this life-size kitchen. It took her five years, from 1991-1996, to complete the beautiful set that even features a running faucet, a Frosted Flakes cereal box and a bottle of Windex, among other everyday products.

Besides being an incredibly talented artist, I think we can all agree Liza Lou’s patience level is pure insanity.
