The 8 Most Unique Fast Food Locations You NEED to Check Out

The thought of eating at the same fast food places over and over can seem a little redundant. Still, there’s nothing like being away from home and seeing a sign for your local favorite at the next exit.

If there’s one thing we can can count on with any fast-food eatery, it’s that regardless of the location, the food and menu items are usually always consistent. The aspect of consistency can go a long way, considering people like to feel comfortable when they eat.

Most fast food corporations understand this attachment to particular menu items, however, to shake things up a bit, corporations are constantly trying new strategies. Although menu items may stay the same over time, the locations can take on an identity all their own.

KFC Iceland’s minimalist exterior is about the only thing different about this KFC. This location in Keflavik was built by PK Arkitektar, an architecture firm in Iceland. However, Iceland is known for it’s more traditional plates like shark, sheep’s head, and blood pudding. It’s nice to know that KFC is even part of the Icelandic food scene. While the eatery has a very unique exterior, the interior lacks the same aesthetic. Within, this KFC has the same typical layout you would expect from a typical franchise's floor plan. However, if you visit this location, you might be able to order a few items that don’t exist on the American menu. Check out the Boxmaster, for example, which is like a large chicken wrap, served in a tortilla, but instead of wrapping paper, they use a box.

While pizza could probably be served as a universal meal anywhere, in China, it’s a high-class meal. This Pizza Hut location in Beijing, China serves each pie with a knife and fork and champagne. Clearly this is a must order. That’s a little different from the standard dining experience in the U.S. where locations can be packed with noisy children. Perhaps that’s why Americans have become so fond of pizza delivery.

Five Guys Burgers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai is at the epicenter of opulence in the Middle East. While you can probably find the world’s most expensive burger in Dubai, it’s probably not going to be at Five Guys Burger’s Dubai location. In America, there’s an ongoing debate on what the best burger is. While the West Coast has the clear dominance with In-N-Out’s Double Double, at least if you’re in Dubai you can eat the second best burger in America.
