Gay Coffee

No, this coffee isn’t exceptionally happy or exuberant (although I guess it could be?) this coffee is genuine Gay Coffee. What exactly makes Gay Coffee? A number things, actually. Firstly, the company is owned and operated and operated by members of the gay community. Secondly, they incorporate a number of widely recognizable gay cliches along with a few tid bits of gay cultural and civil rights history on their packaging as means of empowerment. Perhaps most importantly, a portion of the profits from Gay Coffee goes toward funding The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

As for the coffee, Gay Coffee roasts their coffee in small 25 lb batches and insist on using fair trade, organic coffee beans in their product. Gay Coffee comes in five different blends, and each comes complete with a short paragraph providing some insight into the history and culture of the gay community.
