This Food Truck is Now Serving a Hamburger + Bread Bowl Hybrid, the 'Supperbowl'

breadbowl-burger-jumpie

Food hacking and conjoining is spilling over into the savory arena, and it looks like the GD BRO truck's hybrid bread bowl and hamburger is the next to make some serious waves. It's called the Supperbowl Burger, and it apparently lives as an upgrade option for any burger available on their Orange County-based food truck.

When you ask for your burger as a Supperbowl, you'll get your burger patty (many of which are stuffed with cheese and other ingredients) encased in a soft, hollowed-out brioche bun, and ingredients abundantly piled on top.

After spotting them testing the product at a location a few clicks away from our office, we reached out to them for more information on this peculiar new mashup. Here's the initial photo they uploaded via their Facebook page:

Their team was kind enough to swing through our office and show us the new creation up-close and personal. Needless to say, what we put in our mouths was absolutely remarkable. Here are the two varieties we tried:

All-American Supperbowl Burger

With a cheese-stuffed patty, topped with fries, more cheese, and barbecue sauce. Not to be missed if you're a fan of those flavors.

'Juan and Only' Supperbowl Burger

The 'Juan and Only' Supperbowl featured the same soft bread bowl filled with their jalapeño cream cheese-stuffed patty, pico de gallo, avocado, chipotle mayo, melted pepper jack cheese and fries. This particular burger was admittedly inspired by In-N-Out's Monkey Style burger off-menu item.

Here are some Instagram moments from that day from everyone who happened to be in the office. Feel free to find their truck and make your own versions (hashtag #foodbeast if you do, we want to see!). My personal favorite was their Juan and Only Supperbowl burger topped with a fried egg:
