Website Update: 12/03/08

Almost 8 months ago, Reggie and I, former college roommates, created Foodbeast.com with a vision to provide the average joe an ultimate online food destination. We wanted to present everything that was "happening" with food, regardless of the genre, without the intricacies associated with food critics and culinary graduates. Most importantly, we made sure we weren't writing "reviews", because, everyone's tastes are so different and unique, we just want to hype up food in general, and in turn we would respect our reading audience enough to let them make their own decisions. Imagine a food magazine with the attitude of a reality TV show, and you will understand the theme we are going for. In our short 8 month lifespan, Foodbeast has grown from a readership that could once be counted on my skinny fingers, to a daily readership that needs to be counted on the pudgy sticky fingers of a small glutenous army.

Most impressive in this growth is my friend Reggie, who upon starting the website with me, had no idea how to use Photoshop, write HTML or even interact with a blog type atmosphere. But with his passion for food in mind, gave me the honor of showing him how to utilize the tools necessary to put together a proper website, such as Photoshop, coding HTML, and other web development necessities; ultimately helping shape Foodbeast to become the humble food resource it has grown to be.

What is the purpose of this historian type entry you may ask? One, to acknowledge how flattered we are that you tune in day after day to share your love of food with us, and secondly, to bid a valiant farewell to our friend and editor, Reggie! In what has become news to the rest of the editors here at Foodbeast as well, Reggie has found that he will be dedicating his efforts into his own side project, a blog about food. We hope that with his passion for food coupled with his experience garnered here at Foodbeast, his new side project will be an interesting one to follow!

Thank you always for being a part of the hungriest website on the web, and you can look forward to an awesome amount of new things to be introduced to our publication...along with the same industry leading news you've come to expect. Be safe everyone!
