The Founders of Fast Food Restaurants Will Live Longer Than You

cathy

Apparently, the founders of American fast food chains live longer than the rest of us. Which really sucks, because about 99 percent of us (give or take) don't own major fast food chains.

With the death of Chick-Fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, Market Watch thought it'd be interesting to let us all know that the secret to a long, prosperous life, is feeding the masses artery-clogging deliciousness.

Cathy was at the top of the pyramid of life, living to be 93 years old when the U.S. life expectancy is only 79 years. On the bottom of this list is McDonald's founder Ray Kroc who only lived to be 81, but is still longer than what's expected of us. Not pictured, but worth mentioning, just because we love In-N-Out, co-founder Esther Snyder lived to be 86.

I know what you're thinking, you know someone who lived longer than 79, don't you? Well, maybe this chart is a little ridiculous, but it's still interesting that all these people lived to be old as dirt.

So there you have it. The 1 percenters win again, while the rest of us are screwed. Probably.
