For the second year in a row McDonald’s has brought back their seasonal lobster rolls to select Northeast locations.

The rolls, often dubbed the McLobster, will be available in over 600 restaurants in the  New England and Albany, New York area.

The limited time rolls are 290 calories of 100 percent North Atlantic lobster meat, mayonnaise, and lettuce served on a roll, priced at $8.99 each.

According to a press release, McDonald’s not only said that the meat is 100 percent lobster, but that “Each lobster is wild caught directly from established East Coast wharfs by multi-generational fisherman, who set sail before sunrise to pull in the catch for the day.”

Last summer the McLobster hit McDonald’s for the first time in 10 years drawing both media and social media buzz alike. The lobster rolls were met with mixed reaction on social media, but McDonald's called the menu item an instant sensation.

Some of them can't seem to get enough.

Others probably will pass on the shellfish next time.
