This Food Contest Included Nacho Dishes Loaded with Fried Foie Gras Cubes, Beer-Marinated Beef and Kimchi Purée

Our friends at FWF threw down their second annual nacho cook-off, this time bringing back veteran DJ Dieselboy for a second shot at glory.

Looking to up the ante on the competition, the self-proclaimed nacho addicts  pitted Dieselboy against three formidable chefs: Wylie Dufresne (wd~50, Alder), Michael Anthony (Gramercy Tavern), and Seamus Mullen (Tertulia, El Colmado).

The judging panel consisted of Top Chef Masters' Francis Lam, Eatocracy's Kat Kinsman, and Time Out New York's Mari Uyehara -- all "nacho scholars of the highest order." Unsurprisingly, they boys delivered: Dufresne decked his chips out with fried foie gras cubes, Anthony rolled out beer-marinated beef nachos, and Mullen dressed his nachos with kimchi purée. Dieselboy held his own with tortilla chips covered in pork gravy and citrus frozen with liquid nitrogen.
